K:Na 3.3:1
The intracellular fluid naturally runs 30× more potassium than sodium. Our extracellular fluid runs the opposite. Electrolyte drinks that pile on sodium without matching potassium widen that gap. MNRL 01 is formulated at a 3.3:1 K:Na ratio based on published research supporting potassium-forward electrolyte delivery.

The P5P Co-Factor
Mg + B6 co-delivery
Vitamin B6 as pyridoxal-5-phosphate (P5P) — already active, no conversion needed — is included to support the body's use of magnesium. We co-deliver the two as the rationale for inclusion, drawing on published research on magnesium with active B6.

In a controlled study, roughly 3mg/day of boron was associated with reduced urinary excretion of magnesium and calcium in postmenopausal women on a low-boron diet. The evidence is population-specific, so we include boron as a supporting nutrient for mineral retention — not a headline benefit.

Sodium-Glucose Cotransport
Glucose
Sodium and glucose are absorbed together across the intestinal wall via the SGLT1 transporter, and water follows. This is the established mechanism behind oral rehydration therapy. Without a functional dose of glucose, sodium absorbs less efficiently and cellular hydration lags. MNRL 01 uses the functional minimum — enough to activate the cotransport pathway, not enough to act as a sweetener.
